HOW TO MAKE SEA MOSS GEL
-
To prepare your sea moss, begin by completely submerging and soaking 1oz of sea moss in 1.5L of your preferred water type, whether it be spring, distilled, or alkaline. After soaking, cover the mixture and place it inside the refrigerator for a period of 12 to 24 hours, allowing it to absorb the water and soften.
If desired, you can also add some freshly squeezed lime juice to neutralize any oceanic taste. This optional step adds a pleasant citrus flavor to the sea moss, making it more palatable for those who prefer a milder taste.
-
Rinse the sea moss thoroughly with water, preferably spring, distilled, or alkaline water. After rinsing, drain any excess water from the sea moss to ensure that it's clean
-
Using a clean knife or scissors, carefully cut the item into smaller pieces.
This method ensures precision and accuracy when creating smaller pieces, which may be required for various purposes such as cooking or crafting.
-
Next, add the sea moss to a blender along with 1.5L of your preferred water type, such as spring, distilled, or alkaline water.
Blend the mixture well until it reaches your desired consistency. If needed, you can add more water to the blender to achieve the desired texture.
-
After preparing the sea moss gel, store it in a sterilized jar or container and place it inside the refrigerator.
The sea moss gel can be stored for up to four weeks, provided that it's kept in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
